Marantz SA12SE N1B (Special Edition)

Marantz SA12SE N1B (Special Edition)

Marantz SA-12SE (Special Edition) is a premium Super Audio CD (SACD) player and high-resolution digital-to-analog converter (DAC) inspired by the flagship Marantz SA-10. Key Features & Technologies • SACDM-3 Mechanism: A proprietary, audio-only disc transport mechanism built to play SACDs, standard CDs, and high-resolution audio compilation discs burned onto CD-ROM or DVD-ROM. • Marantz Musical Mastering (MMM): Re-engineers digital-to-analog conversion by up-converting all incoming PCM signals to high-rate DSD (11.2 MHz) via MMM-Stream before converting to analog via MMM-Conversion, bypassing conventional DAC chips. • HDAM Technology: Uses proprietary Hyper-Dynamic Amplifier Modules (specifically the high-grade SA3 version) with short, mirror-image signal paths instead of standard op-amps for reduced noise and faster slew rates. • Sound Master Tuned: Meticulously fine-tuned by the Marantz Sound Master in Shirakawa, Japan, to deliver the signature warm, non-fatiguing, and detailed "Most Musical Sound". Inputs & Compatibility • Digital Inputs: Coaxial, Optical (up to 24-bit/192 kHz), and an Asynchronous USB-B input. • Supported Formats: • PCM / DXD up to 32-bit/384 kHz and DSD up to 11.2 MHz via USB-B. • FLAC (44.1 kHz to 192 kHz / 24-bit), DSD 2.8/5.6 MHz, ALAC, AIFF, and MP3 from data discs. • System Pairing: Designed to match and complement the Marantz PM-12SE Integrated Amplifier. Audio Specifications • Signal-to-Noise (S/N) Ratio: 112 dB (audible range) / 104 dB • Dynamic Range: 109 dB (audible range) / 98 dB • Total Harmonic Distortion (THD): 0.0008% (1 kHz, audible range)
